Why start blogging now?
I know it’s 2018 and blogs seem outdated. It’s a saturated, matured market. It seems like everywhere you look there’s a blogger, or a vlogger, or a podcaster.
So why am I joining this arena now?
Because I need to.
For the past several years I’ve wanted to start a blog, but that’s all I knew. I had no vision, no goal, no real passion for it besides wanting it. A few months ago, after I left the corporate world, I started documenting and blogging for myself. Not sharing with anyone, and barely even re-reading anything. Within days I knew I had to launch this. I’ve been working on this since November. I revamped the entire website three times because I hated the way it was looking. I would set dates to launch and then realize something wasn’t right (whether it was my mindset, content, or SEO – still learning how to do this!).
It’s incredibly vulnerable yet powerful. I know I’m not a great writer and I struggle with photography (trying!), but I want to share. I need to. I had to let go of those excuses, resist the fear of ‘not being good enough,’ and take the dive in.
I created this blog to help inspire, motivate, and educate others on living the best version of themselves.
We live in such a fast-paced environment. We’re more connected than ever with the Internet and social media (if not addicted). We’re stressed and sleep deprived. We’re working our asses off to prove our worth, to build an empire, to provide for our families, and to save for retirement in hopes of ‘enjoying life then.’ We’re eating processed foods daily that literally shave years off of our lives and make us sick. We’re physically active, and mentally ill. We’re living in fear.
I’m here as your best friend, soul sister, coach, mentor, peer – to teach you that you are in control of your behaviors, your thoughts and your feelings.
You are worthy of optimal health and happiness every single day.
Learning is a part of my passion. Sharing is embedded in my soul. This blog is my platform to connect with you, to learn with you, to grow with you.
Because we all deserve to live well.
